This calculation assumes the following:-

1) A silver plating recovery rate of 80%. In real life situation, this should be closer to 99% to comply with regulations to sewer, but we have purposefully chosen a very conservative rate, therefore the amount of silver recovered may be higher.

2) Cost of Silver refining - we have set this to 85% return (e.g., the refiners take 15% of the silver price to cover the costs of the refinery)

3) Amount of silver per Sq M of film depends upon the film type. We have based these calculations on the lowest band, therefore the amount of silver recovered may be higher depending upon your film type.
